How do I solve this system of differential equations (with parameters a and b)? I'm looking for a formula for v(t), initial conditions are u(0)=w(0)=20 and v(0)=2,6. I tried adding the equations together but I can't seem to get any results.

I need to check that the bottom equation is true using the equation for y, how am I supposed to do this? I know how to find the differential of y but I don't understand what I'm supposed to substitute the bottom x and y with and if I even need to find the differential of y.
