Police Academy - can you imagine the 80’s without this comedy series? Unfortunately, this franchise ran out of gas long before they stopped making sequels - only hardcore completionist need venture pasted the 3rd film.
In 1984, it was the funniest thing I had ever seen. #2 was ok. By #3, I started to have doubts and after #4, Steve Guttenberg (and I) signed off for good! The last four films in the franchise all scored 0% on Rotten Tomatoes. But damn, Police Academy films are so 80s!
