My family is shrinking and little history preserved. I have found info on ancestry.com, but without a photo or personal story, i dont know how to make these folks be something more than marks on a headstone to my daughter. Suggestions?
Hello JustNoFamily! I have been a long-time lurker, reading up on tactics used by all our favorite members of our faaaamilllyyy. After the bullshit I found out/experienced at Christmas this year, I’ve had it up to here (i’m pointing at my own eyebrow) & I’m ready to spill my beans. This is gonna be a long one so strap in with whatever libation can get you through some bullshit.
The story I am going to tell today involves my JMGMother, JNUncle, JNAunt, and my two JYCousins. These are all on my paternal side. My maternal side is its own smattering of quasi-shitty adults who somehow made some pretty cool kids. My parents reign as the only true JustYes couple in the family.
My poor sweet JYMom has been putting up with her in-laws bullshit forever now. Luckily I have her as my anchor during these trips. When my JYDad is around his mother, he sinks into the FOG like that gif of Homer Simpson retreating into a hedge.
So FF to this year, just a few days ago. I’m in a serious relationship and I bring my sweet BF to [Southern State] that my JMGma lives for Christmas celebrations to introduce him to the whole JustNoFam! JMGma has a 4 bedroom house with 3 guest rooms. 2 of the rooms have a full-sized bed (claimed by myself and my brother) and the other room (which my parents sleep in) has a king. Before we got there, JMGma called my dad to let him know that there was absolutely no chance that BF and I would be “living in sin” at her house via sharing a bed (for the record, we are both adults who have been known to “live in sin” from time-to-time). Her solution, you ask? Cram my 6’1” BF and my 6’3”brother into a full sized bed together.
According to my JYMom, even when her and my father were living together in an apartment but not yet married, this same “living in sin” conversation would happen. When my grandparents visited my parents in aforementioned apartment, my JYDad in his full FOGgy glory tried to convince my mom to give up their bedroom and sleep on the couch to not offend his parents. Poor mom knew she needed to grow a shiny spine right then and there, and shot that shit down real quick.
Annnnnywayyys BF refuses to share a bed with anyone who isn’t me. It’s just a boundary that he has so he decided to sleep on the couch. The next morning my grandmother is pissed that he slept on the couch instead of a bed, guilting him by saying she will just buy an air mattress. I(25) am with my bf(26) for more than 7 years now, I love him and I wanted to be with him for life, but I find his family toxic. In that time, I had an original Facebook account where I added his father, mother, brother and brother's girlfriend as my social connections. Things went awkward when the brother's girlfriend started imitating most of my posts. She would go to the places I go, buy clothes just like me, copy poses and captions. It bothered me because it felt like she was doing it on purpose right where I can see it. I confronted her about it but she cried and told my boyfriend's mother about it. So, I looked like the bad guy.
Since then, the brother had a grudge on me, of course siding with his girlfriend and brainwashing their mother against me. We act civil, but I have put into light that they were talking behind my back and making up stories along the way. I wasn't posting too much since then and developed social anxiety, aside from the depression I was already suffering from. Also, from that moment on, the brother and his girlfriend started to wage war and created a competition between us as to who people loves most, who was more successful, who went to prettier places, etc. When my boyfriend and I noticed what they were doing, we decided to take a break from it and let them have the spotlight.
So I deactivated the main one and created a second account, controlling my friends list with only the people I trust. I was discreet as possible. But the brother's girlfriend's stalking skills were incredible, she found it out. Now she and the mother is confronting me with why I wouldn't accept their friend requests. We live in a conservative country where family is closely related and always have something to say.
Am I obliged to always include them, even when it meant sacrificing my peace? Am I rude and disrespectful as they are making me look like now?
Sorry I had to cut the story short and just put the important details, but a lot has happened between us for the past 7 years. My confidence broke because I really wanted to love my boyfriend's family but they are too toxic, just like mine.

My wife and son are Star Trek fans, but they're not as afflicted as I am, so I curated a selection of episodes to watch before the debut of Picard. I chose episodes based on their focus, so long as they fell into one of five categories: Picard episode, Data episode, Seven episode, Romulan episode, and Borg episode. Also, every episode I chose had to at least be "pretty good."
(Of course, at this stage, we don't really know how much screen time Seven will get in the new series, for example, so watching a bunch of Voyager episodes may prove to be a waste of time if she's only in it for an episode. That's the risk and your mileage may vary.)

This is all INTERVIEWS and direct pieces with cast - it is not press releases, reviews on their work, or third party articles republished
A word on Sophie Turner - Sophie is doing an exceptional amount of "mixed" press at the moment for Dark Phoenix which means the dozens of interviews and press junkets are virtually impossible to categorise and the sources are hard to find (she also has more "gossip" coverage than anyone else by a mile). I've given her a separate section for interviews I particularly liked but feel free to go nuts!

Ok r/familyguy thugs and thugettes, I really need some help here. I'm thinking of a cutaway scene, I'm almost positive, from the later part of the series I believe.
In the scene, theres like a damsel in distress who is being threatened in some way or another. Peter then swoops in to "save her", literally blowing her head off with some sort of firearm. Then, directing his message at the person originally trying to assault the woman, Peter says either "Leave her alone" or "Dont touch her".
Absolute gold imo. It was honestly hard to type that due to how much even a hint of a memory of it still makes me crack up, but I'm just that motivated to be reunited with my cutaway!

The beautiful part of this is that it takes almost no effort and saves a lot of time. You also never again have to worry about the gift being liked or needed.
