Aquarium ready for fish? New tank (42 gal) setup, cycled in with transplanted ceramic biological media. Ammonia is a controlled substance in this country, so cycling done with fish food. Tap water comes out at 0.25ppm so that should be the baseline. Seeking assurance, too excited to jump the gun!

What is this? It was attached to the tail of a catfish and was hard to take off. Nobody around knew what it was and neither did a game warden we know.
